Our Intensive Outpatient Program

This part-time program takes place for just a few hours a day for a few days throughout the week and provides treatment and therapies that can assist you or your loved one with mental health challenges.

What Can an IOP Treat?

While inpatient treatment and partial hospitalization may be required for moderate to severe mental health disorders, and IOP can help with:

  • Stress or worry leading to anxiety
  • Feelings of hopelessness or worthlessness
  • Compulsions, ranging from OCD to even gambling
  • Social isolation, social withdrawal and social anxiety
  • Trauma-related issues
  • And more

Who Benefits from an Intensive Outpatient Program?

Unlike residential or inpatient treatment for mental health disorders, an outpatient program can be beneficial to those exploring treatment for the first time who do not necessarily need care for 24 hours a day but would still benefit from mental health treatment and therapy sessions.

On the other hand, an outpatient program can also serve as a great step down for those leaving inpatient psychiatric care as they return to daily life. This allows for your loved one to remain connected to the support systems and structure that they had in an inpatient setting, while getting the freedom to practice what they learned and return home afterward.
