Partial Hospitalization Program

Metropolitan Behavioral Health offers a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) for adults in Dearborn, MI.

An older psychiatrist looks toward one of her patients in group therapy and takes notes.

Our Partial Hospitalization Program

Partial Hospitalization (PHP) is a full-time day treatment program that takes place for several hours per day for a few days per week and provides evidence-based treatment and therapies in a structured environment.

Like our inpatient care, you or your loved one will receive treatment from an outpatient treatment team that understands your unique needs, but with the added benefit of allowing them to return home after treatment.

What Can PHP Treat?

A partial hospitalization program is more intensive than an IOP but does not require the same 24/7 care as inpatient. Some of the conditions a PHP may be able to treat, among others, include:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Eating disorders
  • Personality disorders
  • Mood disorders
  • And more

Who Benefits from a PHP?

A partial hospitalization program best serves patients who are stepping down from inpatient treatment and looking to continue their treatment or patients who are entering treatment for the first time but may not require around-the-clock care.

This level of care provides you or your loved one with treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and therapies such as group and individual therapies with a focus on healing and taking positive steps forward — with the added benefit of returning home after treatment to practice what coping skills you have learned.
