Part-Time and Full-Time Day Programs
A short-term program over the course of a few weeks, an outpatient program can make a major difference in your life if you are struggling with mental health issues, or it can be a great step-down option from inpatient treatment. Studies show that remaining connected to treatment through the continuum of care can help prevent relapse and foster long-term healing, and Metropolitan Behavioral Health offers multiple levels of care.
Some outpatient therapy treatment options include:
- Group therapy
- Group therapy assists your teen in working through their issues in a setting that encourages support and helps them relate to others
- Support groups
- Knowing that you are not alone can go a long way. A support group can help you talk about your problems and find external support and comfort
- Coping strategies and coping skills
- Understanding the thoughts and behaviors needed to manage situations in a healthy way
Our Partial Hospitalization Program
Our partial hospitalization program (PHP) takes place for most of the day throughout the week, but allows patients to return home in the evenings. This highly structured outpatient option provides treatment and therapies throughout the course of the day that help you learn how to cope with your mental health issues, as well as providing an opportunity to practice what you have learned when you leave treatment at the end of the day.
Our Intensive Outpatient Program
Our intensive outpatient program (IOP) takes place for a few hours a day for a few days per week and is a great first step into mental health treatment or step-down from a higher level of care. With group therapy and other groups that help teach coping skills and emotional regulation an IOP can help you or your loved one take positive steps forward in their mental health journey.
